The Service Delivery Director (SDD) at GlideFast is a key member of the management team, reporting to an Associate/Vice President. The SDD has the overall responsibility of directly managing other people leaders in the respective pod - Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), in addition to indirect responsibility for the quality execution and talent development of the team members across his/her responsibility. As a member of a small group of Directors, you are also an extension of our A/VP senior manager team. You may be called up for counsel and participation in pod responsibilities as well as broader GlideFast initiatives around quality execution and talent development. These are necessary to meet GlideFast’s short-term and long-term goals. As the Service Delivery Director, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to deliver high-quality services. This involves conducting performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. 

 

What is the role?

This involves conducting performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. 


● Lead, develop, and inspire a team of consultants (and their managers), fostering a customer-centric culture and ensuring their success in delivering high-quality ServiceNow implementation projects
● Act as the most senior manager within the pod (excluding your A/VP) which may entail backfilling or delegated by your pod leader during PTO, other absences.
● Implement and uphold best-in-class practices to drive efficiency and quality of delivery services, as the primary role model within the SDD’s team, and similarly across the organization
● Support overall project staffing requests and monitor utilization for organization 
● Assist with scoping as needed (ex. SOW’s, ROM’s, other additional documents)
● Plan, oversee and perform continuous feedback on employee performance and conduct annual performance reviews
● Identify and address employee performance gaps and implement plans for performance improvement
● Participate in Goal Planning and ensure goals and tracked and managed 
● Ensure career development plans are reviewed and learning opportunities are explored
● Review and approve, when applicable, team member’s PTO requests and expenses
● Guide career and skill growth of the reporting managers on the team and assist with certification guidance
● Mentor and provide professional guidance to the team as needed. In particular, growth of our Service Delivery Manager community

What experience do you need for success?


● 5+ years in a consulting position, managing professional services
● Demonstrated leadership and role modeling skills and acumen
● Consultative skills for software service delivery to lead customers in improving their processes and organizational models
● Good understanding of the puts and takes of the business and the ability to translate that to team members, discussions and initiatives - within your pod and across the company 

 

 

What will you bring with you?


● Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or other related fields (or equivalent work experience)
