As a Principal, Strategic Programs Consultant, you serve as a senior strategic advisor for our most complex global ServiceNow transformations. This billable role combines executive advisory, business process consulting, program leadership, and engagement management to help customers realize measurable business value while ensuring successful delivery outcomes. You partner directly with North America and EMEA client executive stakeholders to shape strategy, guide enterprise transformation initiatives, mitigate delivery risk, and provide leadership throughout the customer lifecycle. Acting as a trusted advisor, executive sponsor, you bridge business strategy with execution by aligning customer objectives, delivery teams, and platform capabilities.

 

What is the role?

STRATEGIC ADVISORY:


● Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on ServiceNow transformation initiatives
● Lead executive discovery sessions to understand business objectives, operating models, governance structures, and organizational priorities
● Advise customers on industry best practices, operating model maturity, platform adoption strategies, and long-term transformation roadmaps
● Translate complex business challenges into actionable implementation strategies and executive recommendations
● Facilitate executive workshops, roadmap planning sessions, and strategic alignment meetings

STRATEGIC PROGRAM MANAGEMENT:


● Lead complex, multi-workstream ServiceNow programs from strategy through successful execution
● Provide oversight across project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and governance
● Ensure alignment between business priorities, implementation teams, and executive expectations.
● Establish program governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting
● Identify delivery risks early and proactively drive mitigation strategies

EXECUTIVE ENGAGEMENT:


● Serve as Executive Sponsor and trusted advisor for strategic customer engagements, fostering executive relationships and driving successful business outcomes
● Provide executive oversight across complex programs, aligning business objectives, governance, and delivery execution
● Act as the senior escalation point for critical customer issues, leading recovery efforts, mitigating risks, and restoring stakeholder confidence
● Lead executive governance, steering committees, and business reviews while communicating program health, strategic risks, and value realization
● Partner with delivery teams and customer leadership to remove obstacles, guide key decisions, and ensure successful delivery while identifying opportunities for continued customer growth

 

 

What experience do you need for success?


● 7+ years of professional consulting experience
● 10+ years leading enterprise technology transformation programs
● 5+ years of ServiceNow implementation experience
● Experience leading complex, multi-workstream enterprise implementations
● Executive stakeholder management experience (Director through C-Suite)
● Experience leading program governance and executive steering committees
● Experience recovering complex or at-risk implementations
● Strong understanding of enterprise business process transformation
● Advanced knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, and SAFe delivery methodologies
● Experience managing large consulting engagements with multiple workstreams and delivery teams
