As a Proposals Manager at GlideFast Consulting, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of competitive proposal development, including contributions to strategy, technical solutions, and cost planning. Reporting to the Director of Proposals, you ensure that all proposal activities are executed in alignment with established methodologies and processes. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including technical subject matter experts, program managers, and technical staff, to deliver high-quality, client-focused proposals.

 

What is the role?


● Identify newly solicited Requests for Proposal (RFP) opportunities by monitoring relevant channels and evaluating suitability
● Track and manage the status of all RFP responses, ensuring timely updates, progress visibility, and adherence to deadlines across the team
● Coordinate the full response development process, including creating response outlines, proofreading content, preparing review drafts and final editions, scheduling review meetings, and monitoring completion of team assignments to ensure quality and consistency
● Facilitate team meetings to maintain alignment, proactively address challenges, and ensure proposal work stays on track to meet deadlines
● Consolidate team concept drafts into a cohesive, professional, and compelling final proposal that accurately represents the organization and its capabilities 
● Maintain and update a comprehensive database of standard proposal responses, streamlining efficiency and ensuring consistency across multiple submissions 
● Research and develop new content by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), ensuring accurate, well-written, and client-relevant database files 
● Adapt and tailor responses to meet the unique needs of each prospective customer and satisfy specific RFP, RFQ, or RFI requirements
● Serve as the primary point of contact for all questions related to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, providing guidance, clarification, and resolution to internal and external stakeholders.
● Maintain professionalism and an uninterrupted work environment during all meetings and interactions
● Demonstrate strong corporate citizenship by completing required administrative tasks and internal documentation accurately, on time, and within the outlined processes

 

 

What experience do you need for success?


● 3+ years of experience in a proposals specialist role or similar, with a strong background in crafting proposals and responding to RFXs (RFP, RFI, RFQ, RFS) 
● Working knowledge of the Shipley proposal framework and federal proposal processes preferred
● Experience reviewing internal and external documents, such as NDAs, MNDA, EULAs, SaaS agreements, MSAs, and teaming agreements
● Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compliant, and well-written proposals for both business and technical audiences
● Knowledge of IT initiatives such as agile, cloud, IT modernization, cybersecurity, and data analytics
● Experience collaborating with partners and subcontractors, managing relationships, and coordinating contributions to proposals
● Proficiency with word processing software, and strong computer, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
● ServiceNow experience is a plus
● Experience in Proposal Management Software (Loopio, Responsive, etc) is a plus

 

 

What will you bring with you?


● Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
● APMP Foundations Certification or Shipley Certification

 


The starting pay range for this role is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00. Full time employees will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance in addition to discretionary bonuses. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
