The Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting ServiceNow implementations by gathering, documenting, and refining business and technical requirements. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders, developers, and process consultants to ensure successful and timely project delivery. It requires a solid understanding of Agile or SAFe methodologies, hands-on experience writing and grooming user stories, and foundational knowledge of the ServiceNow platform. The Business Analyst helps drive digital transformation by delivering scalable solutions aligned with business goals.

 

What is the role?


● Capture and document business processes, workflows, and user stories during Process Consulting Workshops to ensure requirements are clearly defined and accurately delivered
● Lead the story grooming and writing process in partnership with the project teams, aligning business and process needs with development priorities
● Partner with Business Process Consultants and Technical Architects to support sprint planning and ensure effective execution of project deliverables
● Support the management of the RIDAC log; create and refine user stories during project execution
● Assist in OCM efforts, including knowledge transfers, creation of user documentation, and delivery of training materials
● Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely and ongoing review of project artifacts and documentation
● Provide backup support for Business Process Consultant and Engagement Manager roles as needed, including facilitating scrum ceremonies, status updates, and stakeholder demos
● Continue learning service delivery solutions, technologies, and methodologies
● Maintain professionalism and an uninterrupted work environment during all client meetings and interactions
● Provide guidance to clients on Agile methodologies, story writing, and backlog management to enhance project efficiency and user engagement
● Demonstrate strong corporate citizenship by completing required administrative tasks such as timesheets, feedback forms, and internal documentation accurately and on time

 

 

What experience do you need for success?


● 1+ year of experience in at least one ServiceNow module or application (ITOM, GRC, SecOps, or other additional products)
● Proven experience in writing user stories and refining business requirements, with the ability to translate complex needs into clear, actionable items
● Intermediate knowledge of Agile and/or SAFe methodologies, with experience applying these frameworks in the context of ServiceNow implementations

● Maintain an active government security clearance, if applicable

 


The starting pay range for this role is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
