RemoteAs Vice President of Public Sector with GlideFast Consulting, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing the go-to-market strategy for the public sector business. Reporting to the COO, you will oversee sales across federal, state, and local government, managing all aspects of business development, capture, proposals, and contract execution. Reporting to the COO, you will lead all aspects of federal business development, capture, proposals, and contract execution, while managing a high-performing sales team to secure and sustain contracts. This is a strategic, relationship-driven role focused on leveraging networks across the public sector to open new opportunities, deepen partnerships, and expand our presence in the market. You will oversee the full capture and proposal lifecycle, identify and qualify opportunities, and shape client-focused solutions that align with federal requirements. Your leadership will be central to expanding market reach, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring a smooth transition from contract award to delivery, directly driving the company’s growth objectives in the federal sector.
What is the role?
● Lead the development and execution of business strategies to expand GlideFast’s presence across federal, state, and local government markets
● Build and maintain strong networks and executive relationships within federal agencies (Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, etc.) and with prime contractors to drive direct awards and subcontracting opportunities
● Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging deep knowledge of government procurement cycles, contracting vehicles, and compliance requirements
● Collaborate with marketing to design and implement innovative outreach strategies that attract and retain clients, positioning GlideFast as a trusted partner in the public sector
● Provide strategic oversight of the sales team, including recruitment, performance management, and ongoing mentorship, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives
● Guide capture and proposal activities from initial opportunity through award, partnering with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape solutions and ensure seamless transitions into execution
● Oversee account management for federal clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and driving expansion through consultative, trusted relationships
● Monitor the competitive landscape, analyze market trends, and refine go-to-market strategies to strengthen GlideFast’s positioning within the public sector
● Use CRM tools to track sales activity, prioritize opportunities, and ensure visibility of progress across executive leadership
● Partner with internal stakeholders to align resources with client needs, secure delivery excellence, and ensure client success at all stages of engagement
● Maintain professionalism and an uninterrupted work environment during all meetings and interactions
● Demonstrate strong corporate citizenship by completing required administrative tasks and internal documentation accurately, on time, and within the outlined processes
What experience do you need for success?
● 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in public sector markets (ServiceNow experience a plus)
● Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth within the public sector
● Deep knowledge of government procurement cycles, contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA, state contracts), and compliance requirements
● Strong executive presence with the ability to establish credibility and trust with senior government officials
● Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing sales teams
What will you bring with you?
● Maintain an active Secret or higher government security clearance (preferred)
The starting pay range for this role is $175,000.00 - $200,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
