Description
As the Regional Sales Executive - State and Local Government (West) with GlideFast Consulting, you will be an integral force in driving the exponential growth of business development and success within the government sector, specifically the State and Local Government. You will accomplish this through aggressive identification and qualification of potential customers for ServiceNow products and professional services provided by GlideFast. You will proactively identify, engage, and close new business while engaging with customers at every level of the sales cycle. Your contribution will be crucial to advancing our presence and impact in the state and local government sector. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for coverage in California, with additional responsibilities across other Western U.S. states.
Responsibilities
* Research and identify new business opportunities in the state and local government sector, maintaining strong relationships with prospects and existing clients * Collaborate with the sales team to define business strategies and sales objectives * Understand the competitive landscape, analyzing competitors’ strengths in sophisticated planning tools, investment products, and support processes to inform tactical sales plans * Develop highly creative outreach strategies with assistance from the marketing team to attract and retain clients * Leverage the CRM (ServiceNow) to manage sales activities, track leads and maintain accurate client data * Conduct prospecting and discovery meetings using a consultative sales approach to understand client needs * Arrange and conduct initial product demonstrations and presentations following the sales process and opportunity to closure * Serve at a trusted advisor by providing ongoing account management and continued relationship building to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as identifying opportunities for additional revenue streams * Partner with internal resourcing team and delivery teams to determine proper resources and ensure smooth hand-offs and successful client engagements * Attend internal and client-facing kick-off meetings as a client advocate * Monitor project activities, including Change Orders and/or “SOW’s” for assigned engagements * Work in partnership with internal pre-sales team to the delivery team to ensure client success at all levels * Support the full proposal lifecycle from capture, proposals, and transition to the delivery team * Maintain professionalism and an uninterrupted work environment during all meetings and interactions * Demonstrate strong corporate citizenship by completing required administrative tasks and internal documentation accurately, on time, and within the outlined processes* Provide flexible support to the Sales team based on evolving business priorities, including assistance with QBRs, account planning, forecast briefs, and other strategic initiatives
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in state and local government sales, with a strong focus on the State of California * Background in software and services sales strongly preferred * Proficient in using CRM platforms and other sales enablement tools * Experience contributing to proposal development and strategies to improve win rates* Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong track record of managing multiple sales initiatives, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth * Organized and strategic, with excellent time management skills and a creative approach to solving client challenges and uncovering new opportunities * Excellent proficiency in English, with clear, professional communication across written reports, presentations, and client-facing conversations * Confident and collaborative communicator, skilled at building rapport across all levels of the organization and with external partners, prospects, and clients * Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong critical thinking skills to assess sales performance, identify trends, and develop effective, data-informed strategies * Receptive to feedback and open to collaboration, continuously seeking ways to improve performance, strengthen partnerships, and deliver client-focused solutions

The starting pay range for this role is $125,000.00 - $170,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
