DescriptionAs the Assistant Controller at GlideFast Consulting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial activities. Working closely with the Controller and finance team, you will supervise, track, and evaluate tasks such as month-end close, accounts payable, and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance. Additionally, the Assistant Controller will provide support for treasury and payroll duties, contribute to budgeting and financial analysis, and establish efficient accounting methods. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential as you establish financial status through developing and maintaining systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
Responsibilities* Responsible for all aspects of timely and accurate month-end close responsibilities * Detailed preparation and review (as needed) of supporting schedules for assets, liabilities, and the P&L * Supervise the accounts payable process (enter invoices, pay invoices, resolve vendor questions, monitor aging of invoices) * Review expense reports for accuracy and in accordance with company policies * Assist the Controller with Treasury functions * Preparation of consolidated financial statements and schedules for review with the Controller on a monthly basis * Review and reconcile the corporate credit card for accuracy and any irregularities * Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning and filing activities * Record payroll journal entries and accruals on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll. * Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget as well as assist in financial forecasting activities * Complete various financial analysis reports * Complete the monthly bank reconciliation * Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision making * Contribute to and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Qualifications* 5+ years of professional experience in a related accounting role * Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite * Ability to manipulate large amounts of data * Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data * Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations * Public Accounting experience is highly desired * Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

Certifications / Education* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field) required
The starting pay range for this role is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
